I will not try to emulate

I will not try to emulate great poets
It will only land me in the messy residue of words
However I'll express myself by path my heart dictating
Revealing inner streak Love lacerated on the soul

Rumi, Khalil Gibran,Pablo Neruda
Composed diamonds and the pearls
I'll scribe my little monologues for you
Unleashing waterfall that gurgling in the body

So many wrote before about Love
Ungrateful task to prove you can formulate
Fresh thoughts and set a sail in the wide ocean
Avoiding whales and the sharks of critics

I surmise i should take a risque
If not you'd never learn how and why
This tidal wave came to be ,taking me with her
Into the perilous journey called Love
