Running on the waves

Amorphous figure running
On the rolling waves,lithely

Sliding from the foamy tops
With pliancy of prima ballerina

Blond hair canopy the face
She unperturbed by the wailing

Wind singing forlorn melody of sea
The mermaid rushing to the rendezvous

Anxious to find another victim, seaman
Or ghost of long lost love , searching in vain,

Forgetting lover sleeping in the bottom with
The whales, the diaphanous silhouette is on

A mission, ignoring ragged dress sea weeded
Odd decorations dangling , the octopus

Showing ugly head, trying to embrace her ankles
She running on the waves in the persistent motion

Coercing sailors into thought that this is deja vu
