HOLD ME CLOSE, HOLD ME TIGHT

HOLD ME CLOSE, HOLD ME TIGHT

I was alone
Playing games of my own
Hiding me tears for years
I never knew
I'd ever find you
That was my greatest fear
Hold me close, hold me tight
Hold me close, hold me tight

I was a fool
For quittin' me school
I should have developed me head
I'm soaking wet
And I'm willing to bet
You'd rather be somewhere instead
Hold me close, hold me tight
Hold me close, hold me tight

I've lost my identity
And what is left of me
Touches insanity
Still you don't go
I'm fading away
But I'm trying each day
It helps that you stay
And someday I'll know
Hold me close, hold me tight
Hold me close, hold me tight

Is it all real
I think and I feel
I don't really know, do you
I love you so much
Your smile and your touch
Without you what would I do
Hold me close, hold me tight
Hold me close, hold me tight

I've lost my identity
And what is left of me
Touches insanity
Still you don't go
I'm fading away
But I'm trying each day
It helps that you stay
And someday I'll know
Hold me close, hold me tight
Hold me close, hold me tight
