Horror of Pompeii

Horror of Pompeii
See lava spreading on the city of Pompeii
Burning the every living thing to ashes
Stopping the breath in half way, suffocating smell
The terror walking, slowly amassing victims
Do i really witnessing the horror toothless smile
Or this is product of overactive visualization
Maybe if closing eyes i find tranquility and peace
Soothing the senses into slowly flowing river
Inside of me the meditative haven
The figures in white tunics floating around
Massaging mind with hands that shining in the dark
Bringing the cool respite from hellish fire outside
Should i stay, staring at the one of Bosch 's paintings
Pompeii becoming purgatory, symbol of the sinful life
And punishment arriving from Vesuvius for it
Burning, cleansing morals, taking the lives
Or should i close my eyes to terrifying scene
Pretending not to see hostile world
Escaping into shell, hiding the head like turtle
