Once someone betrays you

Once someone betrays you
I tergiversate on lies and malice
The two worst qualities human beings possess
They have the mephitic smell of rotten eggs, impossible to take
You run from it as fast as legs can bear your weight
Once someone betrays you
Which road should your heart follow?
Ululating from the mental injury, wailing in distress
There's no coming back to the original position
The damage is unrepairable
You'd always have a chip on the shoulder
Walking on eggshells even if everything seems copacetic
Nothing you can do ..that is the nature of things
The mind embrangled...how awful
How someone close managed to put a knife in your back
Unfortunately, the majority of people have a hidden agenda
And trust is a precious treasure, not earned by words...only by deeds
