The wind picked up the leaf

The wind picked up the leaf

The wind picked up the leaf
From tree that grew in front of you
It flew, flew over the breadths of ocean
Until it reached me falling at the palms

The leaf smelled of spices
And the salty water ,breathing the warmth
I pressed to my lips ,inhaling deeply
The part of you was there in this exotic mix

I clasped little treasure
It was your gift for me, the salutation
From your heart to mine
Replete with Love and sadness

Wish it would be you in my hands
Not leaf ,caressing teary eyes
Absorbing now my share of pickling flavor
I wish the magic bring you here on it's wings
