YOUR PILLOW

YOUR PILLOW

I still don't feel right
When in the middle of the night
I reach to hold you near
And find that you're not here
It so hurts me to the bone
To awaken here alone
Not to know your gentle touch
And still love you oh so much
To try and ease the pain
To rest my wearied brain
I pull your pillow to my chest
The one you always liked the best
I hold it tightly next to me
And pray to God to let it be
That you'll return someday
And take this loneliness away
